Always remember the most important rule of fishing: FISH WHERE THE FISH ARE!
Always remember the most important rule of fishing: FISH WHERE THE FISH ARE!
As with many anglers, my dad taught me how to fish when I was young, during fishing contests in Boy Scouts during the '60's and '70's in central Indiana.
I became more avid as an adult, after purchasing a kayak. Being around water helped counteract the stresses of corporate employment, being a family provider, and the hassles of managing investment property.
After graduating from Purdue with MET and BSMT degrees, I designed several Star Wars toys for Kenner Products in the early '80's. Then minimally invasive surgical devices for the next thirty plus years for Johnson and Johnson. The skills and technologies learned in these industries transfer well to creating fishing equipment.
Now "semi-retired", I have time to tinker, fish, and proliferate new inventions.
My fishing focus is to make fishing easier and more fun for experienced anglers, but also new anglers who represent the future of the sport.
Other goals are to create equipment that's safer, easier on fish being caught and released, while keeping equipment inexpensive, and convenient to use.
Unmet needs are the best source of successful new product ideas. Each new product on this site was spawned by an unmet or underserved need. The initially offered backpack kits are compilations of carefully selected products I've successfully used, and which I often procure via special volume pricing that I can pass along to you.
I've first put together packages that are lightweight and compact, and therefore well-adapted for back country hikes to remote fishing locations. They're also well adapted for carry-on travel on airplanes. The rods and landing nets are are collapsible, offering high quality equipment in a very compact and lightweight package.
Though the equipment can be used in saltwater, my primarly focus (for now) is to develop products targeted at freshwater game fish; Bass, Walleye, Trout, Salmon, Sunfish, Blue Gill, Northern Pike, Muskie, Catfish, and Crappie. Saltwater fish can be quite large, so heavier equipment is typically needed.
Further, the lures I offer provide anglers of all ages a variety of different styles and sizes, and also configurability to ensure you always have lures that are best suited for your fishing styles, preferences, and targeted fish.
